Discussion about oncolytic virotherapy was held during Latvian Academy of sciences session

On 12 January, Latvian Academy of Sciences held in meeting of chemistry, biology and medical sciences department, the topic of which was oncolytic virotherapy. Two scientific reports were presented. First spoke International Virotherapy Centre's medical director, Professor Dace Baltiņa who presented a report about virotherapy development through the ages. Second spoke chairman of the Scientific Council of the Latvian Institute of Organic Synthesis, academician Ivars Kalviņš, who talked about virotherapy clinical trials and future challenges. After reports, there was a discussion in which everyone was able to ask their questions.
