Latvia's Chief Specialist in Oncology received the honorary mark in the “Annual Award for Medicine in 2017” award ceremony

Asoc. Prof. Dace Baltiņa, Latvia's Chief Specialist in Oncology and main consultant of the International Virotherapy Center, has received the honorary mark of the Latvian Medical Association for outstanding achievements in medicine Tempus Hominis during the “Annual Award for Medicine in 2017” award ceremony. The award was given to the professor for her contribution to the development of the oncology in Latvia.

The professor Dace Baltina feels honored: “I am grateful for the evaluation and appreciation shown to me by awarding by this honorary mark. This inspires and motivates me to continue the work with cancer patients and their loved ones. I am also glad that I can now devote time, knowledge and experience to discuss not only problems in Latvian oncology, but also help to highlight and seek solutions both at the level of society and at every person’s individual level.”
